Shared Living Works When the Support in It Is Right
The difference between a shared living arrangement that empowers you and one that simply manages you is the quality and approach of the support within it. We take that distinction seriously.
This support involves both short and long-term assistance with daily tasks within a shared living environment, including units and host family arrangements. The focus is on cultivating each individual's skills to enable them to live as independently and autonomously as possible.
WHAT THIS SUPPORT LOOKS LIKE
Daily Tasks Tailored to Each Person
In a shared home, every participant has their own support plan, their own goals, and their own preferences. Workers who flatten those differences into a single house routine are not delivering good support to anyone. We maintain individual plans within the shared environment and make sure every participant's experience reflects their own needs, not just the group's.
Units and Host Family Arrangements
We provide daily tasks support in both unit-style shared living and host family arrangements. Whether you are living alongside housemates or as part of a host family, our standards for safety, dignity, and your right to autonomy remain the same.
Short-Term and Long-Term Support
Both are available, depending on your circumstances. Short-term arrangements suit transitional periods and planned respite. Long-term daily tasks support is for participants who require sustained assistance within a shared home as part of their ongoing plan.
Building Your Independence
The primary emphasis of this support is on skill development. We are not here to do everything for you indefinitely. We are here to help you do more for yourself over time. Every interaction is oriented toward greater autonomy, and we document that progress so it is visible and useful at your plan review.
Your shared home should feel like yours. We support you within it, not around you.
